HR 676 - Congress Proposal to open Medicare to Everyone

Contact your Congressman (below) to voice your desire for Medicare to be available to EVERYONE; you pay for it, why shouldn't you have it to use if you need it?

I've NOT seen anything in the newspapers, on TV, or heard anything on the radio. I found out about this through a physician that is lobbying for health care reform. Insurance companies will be lobbying against this, we the People must lobby our Representatives to make sure they understand our position on health care reform. Open Medicare for EVERYONE's benefit.

In the last 30 years I've only seen a doctor once. Yet I pay for medicare continuously. Given that BlueCross/BlueShield provides supplemental health to cover everything that Medicare doesn't cover for about $100 a month, why wouldn't we want Medicare as our National Healthcare?

No one has a secure job that will never be lost. Companies go out of business, move to other countries, downsize during recessions, ... Also, to negotiate with the company you presently work for, you need a strong position. If you have a family, your employer knows that if you have health care you won't jeopardize your family health care by negotiating strongly with them.

Contact all your Representatives to support H.R. 676, and tell them "Regarding HR 676: Open Medicare for EVERYONE".

We MUST be heard, but we MUST speak to be heard !!!

There are almost 10,000 medical insurance companies in the United States, and all of them have many many administrators. The 6 top administrators in every company make over $100,000 per year. The top administrators in the 10 top companies make over $1,000,000 a year. That is $1,010,000,000 (over 1 billion dollars) a year being paid just to the top administrators of those medical insurance companies. And who is paying them, you are! The company you work for has to pay elevated costs to pay for your medical insurance, so you get paid less per hour to work.

And what the company can't afford to pay, either comes out of your pocket to cover your family, or you become bankrupt in the event some even minor accident or illness occurs.

Medicare comes out of your paycheck EVERY paycheck for all your working life. Why shouldn't you be able to be covered too.

Starting a small business is often not possible, because people can't let their families go without health insurance. Small businesses can't hire people because they can't afford covering their health insurance.

What benefit to our economy would there be if people could more easily start and maintain their own businesses?
